I have been involved in fitness for most of my life. Ballet was an integral part of my childhood for 7 years. I have also been a competitive martial artist for several years, and have over 18 years’ experience as a student and teacher in karate and kickboxing. I was first introduced to Pilates over 8 years ago and I was hooked! I completed the comprehensive training through The Physical Mind Institute, Method Pilates in Toronto and New York. I also pursued Fitness Certification with the Ontario Fitness Council and became a Certified Group Fitness Instructor. I love teaching BARRE and Piloxing®, all based in Pilates!
I grew up in a sports environment, playing baseball, hockey and volleyball. Transitioning to cardio and fitness classes while in college, I have been a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 25 years. Since then, I have specialized and become certified an cycling, fitness kickboxing, Pilates and TRX. Over the years I have been trained with small equipment including bosu, stability ball, mini balls, weighted balls, band, fitness circles and more. Training includes the larger Pilates equipment such as the Reformer, V2max, Springwall, Tower, Cadillac, Chair, Spine Corrector and Arc Barrel. Along the way i developed a passion for post rehabilitation with a particular interest in breast cancer and bone health. I have been a certified STOTT Pilates instructor since 2002, with a post rehabilitation specialization that is ongoing. I am also certified with STOTT Merrithew in Zen*ga mat and equipment. Currently, I am enrolled in functional anatomy and bio mechanics with Body Harmonics. Fitness or post rehab, our bodies have got to move … Love it !
