About Us

Moonstone Parks and Recreation: 

A committee was established more than 20 years ago (incorporated in 2013) to facilitate, create and maintain a community based entertainment area. The committee at that time built a temporary skating rink located on Ellen Drive, it was then expanded to the rink that we all know today. Over the years the rink has been maintained not only by the township, but also by the members of this committee. During the winter months we are very lucky to have a community member who maintains the ice. Fundraising is a very important function of this committee. 

Each year the committee coordinates a Moonstone Community Golf Tournament held at Bonaire Golf and County Club in addition to the annual Corn Roast and Family Skate Day, proceeds from these events help to provide/maintain the operating budget for the rink at Ramey Park as well as other community projects and events. It is through this fund raising that the playground was purchased and installed.
